Iodine

The i-blythe product range comprises inorganic iodine compounds in oxidation states from I-1 to its fully oxidised state, I7+.

i-blythe products are made to exacting standards in modern, purpose designed plant.

The i-blythe range is manufactured from elemental iodine using raw materials from a secure and tightly controlled supply chain.

Here at William Blythe, we use our expertise in redox chemistry to convert iodine into Iodides, Iodates and periodates. Novel electro chemistry is employed to produce high purity periodate derivatives targeted to meet the most exacting market requirements.

Our ability to control particle size, purity and to offer a recycling route enables us to provide our customers with a comprehensive service in a wide range of demanding market segments.

i-blythe S5020 - Sodium Metaporiadate

Sodium Metaperiodate is a selective oxidising agent that specifically oxidizes a functional group in synthetic organic reactions, or specifically oxidizes one material without affecting its substrate. It is also used as a chelating agent for transition metal ions in highly oxidized systems.
