Potassium Iodide – Change of CLP Hazard Classification
William Blythe Limited have now updated their Safety Data Sheets and labels for Potassium Iodide.
Based on zinc, tin and mixed metal oxide technology (eg. zinc hydroxystannate and zinc stannate) the Flamtard™ products are synergists that offer flame retardant and smoke suppressant properties in a range of polymer systems, including PVC, polyamides, elastomers and thermosets. The Flamtard products are commonly used to replace ATO (antimony trioxide) in polymer applications such as wire and cables, roofing membranes and artificial leather.
All Flamtard™ products are non-hazardous, environmentally benign and registered globally.
Flamtard™ products are stable and compatible with most polymer systems with no adverse effect on polymer performance properties. Our commitment to manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement ensures that all FlamtardTM products have a high purity and a tightly controlled particle size, delivering consistently superior performance.
Based up on zinc hydroxystannate (ZHS) technology, Flamtard H is a flame retardant and smoke suppression synergist that is stable up to 220 °C and ideally suited for PVC applications. Commonly used as an ATO (Antimony Trioxide) replacement.
Based upon zinc stannate (ZS) technology, Flamtard S is a flame retardant and smoke suppressant synergist for polymers that is stable above 400 °C. Ideally suited for polyolefins and engineering thermoplastics. It is commonly used as part of a ATO replacement solution in polymer systems.
Flame retardant and smoke suppressant synergist optimised for low cost and performance in PVC polymers.
We have a team of experienced polymer scientists and polymer processing lab facilities on hand ready to support customers in formulation development. We have the capability to compound, extrude, injection mould and characterise both the physical properties and flame retardant properties of a range of polymer materials.
We currently don't have any upcoming events for Flame Retardants. Please keep checking back.
